After becoming a licensed nail technician over 6 years ago, I quickly realized something many aspiring nail techs experience, nail school didn’t prepare me for the real world. Even though I had already started taking clients, the education I received wasn’t enough to give me the confidence I needed to excel in my business. Unfortunately, this lack of comprehensive training is common in many cosmetology schools.

The beauty industry has always sparked my interest. As a little girl I found myself constantly playing with cosmetics , giving my older cousin french tips, and doing pedicures at home with
my mom. I had no clue her disinterest for nail salons would be igniting my path to work in the nail industry. I remember pleading with my parents to get acrylics, promising I would get them as short as possible and would stay within budget. My persistence won them over and good for me, at that time you could get a free design with every full set. My style and passion for nails grew practical as I began buying supplies and studying my own nail tech at the time. I had a natural niche for designs and the patience to stay the course. My journey led me from self
taught to obtaining a manicurist license. My experience as a nail technician varies from salon management, traveling manicurist, instructoring etc. My new passion is not just doing nails but helping cultivate the next generation of nail techs.

My journey to becoming a nail technician was an unexpected but incredibly fulfilling one. It all began with the encouragement of my best friend, who believed in me, provided my initial tools, and simply told me to "Just show up and put in the work." That encouragement led me to a career I now deeply love and cannot imagine leaving.
As I developed in the industry, I recognized a critical need: I want the next generation of nail technicians to have better training than I received. My own schooling did not provide the comprehensive education I had hoped for. Rather than becoming discouraged, this experience motivated me to become the instructor I wish I had—one who teaches with patience, intention, real-world experience, and heart.
This is why I am so passionate about mentoring students. My goal is for students to feel confident, supported, and truly excited about coming to class. I want to invest in their growth and witness their success, because I understand that sometimes, all a student needs is someone who recognizes their potential. I am ready to be that person for my students.
