A Texas-licensed beauty school serving aspiring professionals across the Houston area.
Tha Nail Artistry Academy was founded in March of 2025 by Genevieve Henriquez, a licensed nail technician and artist, with a mission to train and inspire the next generation of nail professionals. Located in the Houston area, the academy serves students from Houston, Cypress, Jersey Village, Katy, Northwest Houston, and surrounding communities. The academy combines technical education, flexible learning, small class sizes, advanced techniques, business development, professional preparation, and mentorship.

Meet the Founder
Genevieve Henriquez
Founder, Owner and Director
Genevieve Henriquez is a Houston native, licensed nail technician, artist, and the Founder, Owner and Director of Tha Nail Artistry Academy. After more than six years behind the nail table, she developed a reputation for detailed acrylic work, polygel enhancements, natural nail care, and creative nail art.
Through her experience in salon ownership and client service, Genevieve saw that many new professionals felt unprepared for the realities of serving clients, managing their time, and building a sustainable business. In 2025, she created Tha Nail Artistry Academy to offer the kind of technical education, business knowledge, mentorship, and professional preparation she wished she had received earlier in her career.
Today, Genevieve is committed to helping aspiring nail professionals build strong foundations in both their craft and their careers, with an emphasis on advanced techniques, client experience, and long-term growth.

Destiny Pizarro-Bell
Admissions and Student Success Coordinator
With a background in finance and a lifelong interest in beauty, Destiny brings a structured yet passionate approach to student support. A former academy student and brand ambassador herself, she successfully transitioned into the industry after completing the 600-hour Manicurist Program. Today, she leverages her firsthand experience to guide applicants through the enrollment process and support current students in achieving their career milestones.

Rayven Russell
Manicurist Program Coordinator
Rayven is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the nail industry, specializing in acrylic enhancements and artistic design. Her creative journey began in Detroit and was further refined through fashion education at Michigan State University, leading to a diverse career in beauty marketing and product development. As a Texas-licensed professional and salon suite owner, she combines her belief in technical excellence with practical business knowledge to mentor the next generation of nail artists.
Mia Curry
Manicurist Instructor
Mia Curry is a licensed Texas nail technician, certified makeup artist, and beauty entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in beauty, branding, and product development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design from Michigan State University and founded Crylix & Crowns Beauty Studio in Houston. At Tha Nail Artistry Academy, Mia helps students develop strong technical skills while preparing them for successful careers in the beauty industry.
